阿里山山椒魚觀察札記 A Field Journal of the Alishan Salamander 英文版

臺灣只有5種山椒魚（都是特有種），其中阿里山山椒魚是臺灣地理與海拔分布最廣的山椒魚，而玉山園區內因為涵蓋中央山脈與玉山山脈，擁有豐富的地貌形成多樣垂直氣候帶，提供阿里山山椒魚在間冰期的避難所，也使得阿里山山椒魚演化出更高的遺傳多樣性。1921年牠們被日本學者安東伊三次郎第1次發現，迄今百年來，未曾有人紀錄牠們完整早期的生命史，這本阿里山山椒魚觀察札記，記錄觀察研究人員近700個日子在玉山園區塔塔加地區域內圈養的故事，除了見證阿里山山椒魚百年繁殖奧秘，也分享了觀察阿里山山椒魚成長的過程與玉山國家公園保育的成果。

The Alishan Salamander, with the broadest geographic and elevational range of Taiwan's five species, benefits from Yushan National Park's diverse terrain, vertical climate zones, and evolutionary history. These environments have helped salamanders survive through earthquakes, landslides, and climate shifts for millions of years. Though small and fragile in appearance, they hold incredible resilience and genetic diversity. Their biology holds clues to Taiwan's mountain-building history—stories waiting to be told
